ATLAS v.10 Japanese
Translation for Windows
ATLAS is a high quality machine translation software package for Japanese
to English and English to Japanese translation. It processes the original
documents through a sophisticated context-sensitive analysis which interprets
the context of the sentence using a base dictionary of over 200,000 words.
ATLAS also adopts a "Concept-Bridging Method" that takes account of the
linguistic differences between English and Japanese, changing such items
as subject, object and tense as appropriate for a more accurate translation.
In addition, ATLAS has a database of sample translation templates of over
20,000 sentence patterns to which the translation engine refers when detecting
frequently used grammatical structure. Also available are 24 special dictionaries
in science, law, business and engineering that can be purchased separately
or as a package.
